Job summary

TuxCare Inc. is seeking a Platform Engineer to join the Platform Engineering team in the Endless Lifecycle Support department. You will own the CI/CD and QA platforms end-to-end, ensuring reliability, scalability and cost control across the fleet.

Work remotely from the United States, collaborating with engineering teams to automate tooling, improve developer experience, and drive data-driven capacity decisions. Strong English, IaC, and GitLab CI experience are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Senior-level ownership of production platforms and services.
• Strong Linux admin skills on bare metal and VMs.
• Production Kubernetes operations, upgrades, and GitOps.
• Experience with IaC tools and CI/CD tooling.
• Proven GitLab CI experience and observability stack.
• Excellent English communication and technical writing.

Responsibilities

• Own CI/CD and QA platforms end to end for the department.
• Ensure platform reliability, quality, scalability and cost.
• Analyze usage and drive capacity and performance decisions.
• Automate build/test/ship tooling and reduce flaky tests.
• Contribute to platform architecture with engineering teams.
• Maintain health with monitoring and runbooks; manage alerts.
• Deploy new services following best practices.
• Support developer requests and enable self-service.
• Lead incident response and post-mortems.
• Deliver infrastructure as code via merge requests.
• Write technical docs for engineers across teams.
• Collaborate with AI agents and review outputs.
