Job summary

J&T Business Consulting seeks a Platform Engineer to build and maintain the internal dev platform and tooling that enable rapid software delivery. You will automate deployment pipelines, enhance observability, and partner with engineering teams to remove bottlenecks while ensuring security and compliance.

The role focuses on Linux administration, Ansible automation, and scalable platform design, with a strong emphasis on CI/CD, performance monitoring, and developer experience across environments.

Qualifications

• Clearance: Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
• Bachelor’s degree + 10+ years of relevant technical experience, OR 14+ years Platform Engineering experience in lieu of a degree.
• Strong Linux systems administration and CLI experience.
• Solid experience with Ansible for configuration management and automation.
• Experience with CI/CD and platform automation.

Responsibilities

• Platform design, deployment, and maintenance of internal developer platforms and environments.
• Automate deployment workflows and configuration tasks with Ansible to improve reliability and delivery speed.
• Monitor infrastructure health, performance, and observability using Prometheus and Grafana.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex platform-level defects across environments.
• Enforce security controls and compliance standards across platforms.
• Collaborate with software engineering teams to streamline deployment workflows and tooling.
