Job summary

Cadence is seeking a Software Engineer - Platform to build and scale the infrastructure that embeds compliance and risk controls into the Cadence platform. You will have significant autonomy and broad scope to identify problems, set direction, and ship improvements across the platform.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of production software or infrastructure experience.
• Ability to reason about reliability, security, operability, and speed.
• Comfort working independently across architecture and domains.
• Strong communication with technical and non-technical partners.

Responsibilities

• Design and build systems across application, backend, data, and cloud infrastructure boundaries.
• Create secure defaults, reusable controls, and paved paths that help teams build quickly and safely.
• Strengthen identity, access, secrets, CI/CD, Kubernetes, observability, and other platform capabilities.
• Help define how Cadence evaluates, monitors, and governs AI used in patient care.
• Identify architectural risks and turn them into practical technical solutions.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Clinical, Legal, and Security leaders to shape our approach to trust at scale.
• Independently take ambiguous, high-impact problems from initial design through production.
