Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced employment litigation attorney to manage plaintiff-side matters for a boutique firm based in Phoenix, AZ. The role is fully remote with Arizona Bar in good standing required; Arizona residents preferred but candidates nationwide with an active AZ license may apply.

You will handle cases from evaluation through resolution, draft pleadings and motions, conduct depositions, negotiate settlements, and communicate regularly with clients while building trial experience

Qualifications

• Active Arizona Bar license in good standing.
• Arizona residents preferred; out-of-state candidates considered with AZ license.
• 3–5+ years of plaintiff-side labor and employment litigation experience.
• Experience handling wage and hour, discrimination, retaliation, harassment, or leave-related matters.
• Strong background in motion practice, including drafting and arguing substantive motions.
• Trial experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent legal writing, analytical, and client management skills.
• Self-motivated professional who thrives in a fully remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage employment litigation matters from case evaluation through resolution, including trial when necessary.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and other litigation-related documents.
• Conduct and defend depositions, manage written discovery, and appear at hearings.
• Represent clients during mediations and settlement negotiations.
• Develop litigation strategy and maintain regular communication with clients throughout the life of each case.
• Perform legal research and prepare persuasive written advocacy for state and federal courts.
