Job summary

Jobot is seeking a plaintiff-side employment litigation attorney for a fully remote role. An active Arizona Bar license is required, with preference for Arizona residents, though qualified out-of-state candidates with AZ Bar status will be considered.

Expect 3–5+ years of relevant litigation experience handling wage-and-hour, discrimination, retaliation, or leave-related matters. You will manage matters from evaluation through resolution, draft pleadings and discovery, conduct depositions,

Qualifications

• Active Arizona Bar license in good standing is required.
• Arizona residents are strongly preferred; out-of-state candidates may be considered with active Arizona Bar.
• 3–5+ years of plaintiff-side labor and employment litigation experience.
• Experience handling wage-and-hour, discrimination, retaliation, harassment, or leave-related matters.
• Strong motion practice; drafting and arguing substantive motions; trial experience preferred.
• Excellent legal writing, analytical and client-management skills.
• Self-motivated, thrives in a fully remote environment with an active caseload.

Responsibilities

• Manage employment litigation matters from case evaluation through resolution, including trial when necessary.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and other litigation-related documents.
• Conduct and defend depositions, manage written discovery, and appear at hearings.
• Represent clients during mediations and settlement negotiations.
• Develop litigation strategy and maintain regular communication with clients throughout the life of each case.
• Perform legal research and prepare persuasive written advocacy for state and federal courts.
