Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Senior Provider Compensation professional to lead complex compensation initiatives across care delivery providers. You will design and implement compensation programs, analyze market data, and advise leadership on total cash strategy.

The role requires strong stakeholder management and the ability to work across a matrixed organization. Remote work is supported from anywhere in the U.S., with in-office days required in Minneapolis or Washington, D.C.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of provider compensation experience.
• Proven solid external provider compensation consulting experience.
• Demonstrated experience with provider productivity and compensation benchmark data.
• Demonstrated experience with the Stark Law and Anti-Kickback Statute (AKS).
• Demonstrated experience in leading complex and long-term projects to completion.
• Proven solid history of quickly building relationships, gaining credibility, influencing and partnering with business leaders and human capital peers across the organization.
• Demonstrated ability to partner with multiple constituents, and proven success working in a matrix environment.
• Proven action oriented, adept at working in a fast paced, complex organization, and solid change management skills.
• Proven advanced skills with Microsoft Excel and Power Point.
• Willing to travel 10%-15%.

Responsibilities

• Design, consulting, and implementation of Provider compensation programs.
• Assemble compensation packages, and analytic support of Provider compensation programs.
• Gain consensus on Provider compensation philosophy and desired strategy.
• Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis of healthcare and financial data for program management.
• Provide recommendations on compensation models and metrics that incentivize productivity.
• Assist leadership with determining desired market position for total cash compensation.
• Build relationships with Provider leaders to ensure effective compensation solutions.
• Salary survey participation and analysis, and annual market data reviews.
