Job summary

Cardinal Health—a remote, US-wide role—seeks a Pharmacy Support Analyst to help eligible patients obtain medications through PAPs, using Atrix Assistance software and collaborating with patients, providers, and manufacturers.

The position focuses on reducing patient costs, handling applications, denials, and program reporting while ensuring privacy and compliance in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and customer service capabilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Capable of meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional telephone and interpersonal skills.
• 2–4 years in healthcare, pharmacy, patient assistance, or related field (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Identify patients for Patient Assistance Programs and determine eligibility.
• Complete, submit, and manage applications for medication assistance programs.
• Recover medication costs for patients without third-party coverage.
• Serve as liaison between patients, providers, manufacturers, and hospital staff.
• Educate patients, physicians, and staff on program requirements and resources.
• Maintain regular communication with healthcare contacts to support program success.
• Resolve issues, denials, and missing documentation to secure approvals.
• Research alternative resources for patients not qualifying for manufacturer programs.
• Discuss medication options with providers based on program availability.
• Track and report recovered medication value for billing and program performance.
