Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Pharmacy Support Analyst to help eligible patients obtain medications through Patient Assistance Programs, using Atrix software. This remote role, aligned with University of Miami Health System, focuses on securing coverage for uninsured or underinsured individuals.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare, pharmacy, patient assistance, or related roles preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service abilities required.
• Familiarity with patient assistance programs and hospital workflows preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify patients who may qualify for PAPs and determine eligibility.
• Complete, submit, and manage PAP applications.
• Recover medication costs for patients without third-party coverage.
• Serve as liaison between patients, providers, manufacturers, and hospital staff.
• Educate patients and staff on program requirements and resources.
• Maintain communication with patients, nurses, physicians, social workers, pharmacy personnel, and reps.
• Resolve issues and denials to secure approvals.
• Identify alternative assistance resources for non-qualifying patients.
• Discuss medication options with providers and patients based on availability.
• Track recovered medication value for billing and program performance.
• Ensure patient information privacy and confidentiality.
