Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Pharmacy Support Analyst to help eligible patients obtain medications through manufacturer Patient Assistance Programs (PAPs). Using Atrix Assistance software, you will work with patients, providers, and manufacturers to secure medication coverage for uninsured or underinsured individuals.

The role supports cost containment and requires strong communication, accuracy, and multitasking in a remote, US-based setting. Prior healthcare experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years in healthcare, pharmacy, patient assistance, or related experience.
• Knowledge of medications, disease states, and treatment options preferred.
• Experience in hospitals, clinics, or healthcare settings preferred.
• Experience supporting low-income, underserved, or special-needs populations.
• Familiarity with social service programs or patient advocacy preferred.
• Experience working in high-volume environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify patients who may qualify for PAPs and determine eligibility.
• Complete, submit, and manage applications for medication assistance programs.
• Recover medication costs for eligible patients without third-party coverage.
• Serve as a liaison between patients, providers, manufacturers, and hospital staff.
• Educate patients, physicians, and healthcare staff on program requirements and resources.
• Maintain regular communication with patients, nurses, physicians, social workers, and reps.
• Resolve application issues, denials, and missing documentation to secure approvals.
• Research alternative resources for those not qualifying for manufacturer programs.
• Discuss medication options with providers and patients based on program availability.
• Track recovered medication value for billing and program performance.
• Ensure patient information privacy and confidentiality.
• Build and maintain relationships with healthcare contacts to ensure success.
