Job summary

Humana Inc. seeks an Associate Director of Pharmacy Hub Operations to build, launch, and lead the hub operating model across patient access and clinical services.

You will oversee intake, verification, prior authorization support, and interdisciplinary pharmacy staff during launch, with ongoing leadership as the organization matures. Ideal candidates have deep experience in hub services, patient access, reimbursement support, and clinical operations, and can scale teams while meeting regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or related clinical field.
• Active pharmacist or RN license in good standing.
• 5+ years leading people in complex healthcare operations.
• Experience with benefits verification, prior authorization, appeals, patient assistance.
• Experience in specialty pharmacy or manufacturer hub services.
• Experience launching or transforming an operational function.
• Strong operating acumen in workforce planning and SLA/quality controls.

Responsibilities

• Build the launch operating model across Access Operations and initial Clinical Operations.
• Establish integrated launch workflows across access specialists, resolution resources, pharmacists, nurses, and technicians.
• Partner with Implementation on requirements, validation, training readiness, go-live and hypercare; assume accountability after acceptance.
• Translate requirements and policies into executable practices.
• Establish staffing, licensing, onboarding expectations, and contingency plans.
• Lead intake, enrollment, verification, prior authorization, appeals, and patient assistance workflows.
• Provide operational oversight for clinical review, education, adherence support, and clinician-led workflows.
• Represent the integrated Pharmacy Hub Operations model in governance and client discussions.
