BCBST BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Specialist to support the Senior Care Outreach and Retention team.

You will be a key contact for members navigating their pharmacy benefits, focusing on medication adherence and education to improve health outcomes. This remote role combines inbound and outbound calls, requiring a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) with strong communication, detail orientation, and teamwork.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.
2 years of experience in a retail pharmacy or comparable customer service environment.
1 year in a pharmacy setting with knowledge in medical terminology.
1 year of technical or operational experience.

Responsibilities

Reviewing, updating, maintaining and monitoring pharmacy information disseminated to external and internal customers (as necessary).
Conducting outbound educational telephone calls regarding medication adherence to members, prescribers and pharmacists as directed.
Motivating members to become compliant by refilling their prescriptions and/or coordinating necessary communication or scheduling with providers and pharmacies.
Handling customer service inquiries and problems via the telephone.
