Job summary

Advocate Health seeks a Pharmacist Informatics Specialist to bridge clinicians and information systems, focusing on EHR optimization and medication workflows. You will lead informatics initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

The role requires a pharmacist with 3 years of experience (or PGY1/PGY2 in pharmacy informatics) and EPIC certification. Remote work available from select states; on-site expectations may apply. Base pay ranges with on-call duties; benefits available.

Qualifications

EPIC Willow certification is required or strongly preferred.
Experience with medication records, formularies, shortages, CNR/dispense prep, labeling, interfaces, automated dispensing systems or infusion pumps.
Ability to translate clinical decisions and operational needs into clear system build requirements.
Ability to facilitate effective cross-functional decision-making.
Proactive identification and communication of risks.
Ability to work independently while appropriately seeking peer review and collaboration.

Responsibilities

Leverages pharmacist clinical and informatics skills to support the medication EHR; acts as a liaison for clinical informatics.
Develops informatics plans, data analysis, and systems to advance evidence-based practice and optimize workflows.
Designs, evaluates, and implements new EHR builds to support practice and improve patient care quality and safety.
Consults with providers and leadership to evaluate information systems and communicate complex informatics issues.
Supports informatics solutions for clinical and operational improvements.
Assists in creating data analytics to facilitate data review and performance improvement.
Develops and implements automated clinical rules supporting patient care.
Consults with external agencies to ensure regulatory compliance.
