Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a pharmacist informatics professional to bridge clinical practice and health IT. You will help optimize the medication EHR, lead informatics initiatives, and design builds that enhance patient safety and care quality. Remote role with first-shift hours, on-call as scheduled.

The ideal candidate has EPIC Willow certification and 3+ years of pharmacy informatics or PGY1/PGY2 residency in informatics, with strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Exceptional candidates will demonstrate strong clinical judgment combined with systems thinking.
• Epic Willow certification and experience with medication records, formularies, shortages, CNR/dispense prep, labeling, interfaces, automated dispensing systems, or infusion pumps.
• Ability to translate clinical decisions and operational needs into clear system build requirements.
• Ability to facilitate effective cross-functional decision-making and proactive risk communication.
• Ability to work independently while seeking peer review and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Leverages pharmacist clinical and informatics skills to support the medication EHR and serves as a liaison for clinical informatics.
• Develops informatics plans, data analysis, and systems that advance evidence-based practice and optimize workflows.
• Designs, evaluates, and implements new EHR builds to support clinical practice and patient safety.
• Consults with providers and leaders to evaluate information systems and communicates complex informatics issues.
• Supports informatics solutions for clinical and operational improvements.
• Assists in creating data analytics to facilitate data review and performance improvement.
• Develops automated clinical rules supporting patient care.
• Consults with external agencies to ensure regulatory compliance.
