Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Performance Engineer II - O&M to oversee day-to-day operations on active projects. This role can be fully remote or hybrid with regular in-office presence in San Diego, CA or Bend, OR, with location details discussed in interview.

You will collaborate across teams to collect data, develop reports, and monitor fleet performance, leading junior engineers and supporting PV system optimization. Proficiency in PV modeling (PVSyst, PlantPredict, SAM) and analytics is essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, science, or a related technical discipline.
4+ Years’ experience in PV Performance Engineering or data analytics.
Experience in modeling using software like PVSyst, PlantPredict, SAM, and so on.
Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and other Office tools.
Experience with programming languages like Python, VBA, MATLAB, Java, and others preferred.
Ability to travel up to 20% of time.
Broad understanding of the Renewable Energy industry with emphasis on Service and Construction preferred.

Responsibilities

Collaborate to collect and consolidate data for reports, acceptance tests, and analyses.
On-board active projects into SOLV Energy’s internal Performance Team platforms.
Track critical issues and share findings to optimize fleet performance.
Troubleshoot performance data and correlate with workorder data for reporting.
Lead Performance Engineers I & II in day-to-day coordination of operations.
Understand site design, equipment, and current issues affecting projects.
Analyze energy losses and report impacts of outages or underperformance.
