Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a Performance Engineer II - O&M to lead day-to-day project operations and data analytics. The role supports PV power plants nationwide, with remote or hybrid work and potential in-office presence in San Diego, CA or Bend, OR.

You will mentor junior engineers, optimize fleet performance, and deliver detailed reports to clients. Ideal candidates have 4+ years in PV performance engineering, proficiency with PV modeling tools (PVSyst/SAM/PlantPredict), and strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, science or related technical discipline.
• 4+ years PV Performance Engineering or data analytics experience.
• Experience modeling with PVSyst, PlantPredict and SAM.
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Programming experience in Python, VBA, MATLAB or Java preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.
• Renewable energy industry knowledge with emphasis on service/construction.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operational activities of active projects.
• Collaborate with internal teams to compile data and deliver reports.
• On-board active projects into SOLV Energy internal platforms.
• Track issues and optimize fleet performance with cross-functional teams.
• Troubleshoot performance data and correlate with workorder data for reporting.
• Lead and mentor Performance Engineers I/II on responsibilities.
• Understand site design, equipment, and current project issues.
• Run PV system energy models and verify drawings and layouts.
• Create templates and update reports for clients (Commissioning, Tests, Vitals).
