Job summary

ENERGY SYSTEMS GROUP is seeking a Performance Engineer for our Public Sector East team in New England or New York. Frequent travel (25–50%) is required to support complex energy projects for schools and government facilities.

The role includes conducting site surveys, analyzing utility data, and delivering concrete energy solutions with measurable savings. Strong communication with clients and internal teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited Engineering/Technology program or equivalent.
• 3–8 years’ experience in a construction or energy service related field.
• Bonus: 10 years’ experience; certifications such as CEM, CMVP, LEED, NEBB, TAB, ASHRAE; PE license.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth site surveys to identify inefficiencies and analyze utility bills.
• Create technical plans and communicate solutions to customers and internal teams.
• Perform energy savings calculations and life cycle cost analyses for recommendations.
• Develop financial models and present proposals to customers.
• Coordinate with Account Exec. and Project Manager for smooth installation.
