Job summary

CBRE is seeking a People Business Partner to assist with HR initiatives rollout and communications, and to support policies and procedures across the People Strategy and Operations function.

Role involves onboarding development, performance management, and employee relations guidance, with travel up to 40% and potential site visits at fulfillment centers. A degree is preferred with 5–8 years of experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred; combination of experience and education considered in lieu of a degree.
• Ability to exercise judgment based on analysis of multiple sources of information.
• Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PeopleSoft, SmartSheet).
• Strong organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
• Sophisticated math skills for percentages, fractions, and financial calculations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with development of onboarding, career ladders, succession planning, and performance management initiatives.
• Provide employee relations guidance, conflict resolution, and disciplinary action where needed.
• Collaborate with managers to identify employment-related risks and initiate investigations/grievances.
• Manage HR functions such as employment, labor relations, and compensation for a business unit.
• Conduct training on topics including performance management and diversity.
• Apply knowledge of standard HR principles to deliver innovative solutions.
• Coach others and share knowledge across function.
• Lead by example and build consensus to reach agreements.
• Impact customer, operational, project, or service activities within own and related teams.
• Work within broad guidelines and explain difficult information.
• Travel up to 40% monthly; preferred locations near major airports; up to 50% walking in large facilities.
