Job summary

Eide Bailly is seeking a People Operations Compliance Manager to lead our HR compliance program across the United States, with emphasis on CA/WA. You will guide policy administration, investigate complex issues, and coordinate with legal, payroll, and HR teams to ensure lawful, streamlined employment practices.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of compliance-focused HR experience, preferably in CA or WA, with SPHR/SHRM-SCP preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Legal Studies, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive HR experience with compliance, employee relations, policy administration, HR operations, leave administration, or accommodations.
• HR certification such as SPHR or SHRM-SCP preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws including FMLA, ADA, EEOC, wage-and-hour, multi-state leave.
• Strong HR policy, risk management, leave administration, and accommodation process knowledge.
• Ability to analyze complex issues and provide practical business guidance.
• Strong investigation, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication, consultation, training delivery, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and maintain confidentiality.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee HR compliance programs, policies, and procedures to mitigate risk.
• Monitor and interpret employment laws and implement policy updates.
• Provide guidance on employment law, policy interpretation, and compliance matters.
• Oversee leave management and workplace accommodations programs.
• Lead compliance audits related to wage and hour, classifications, and recordkeeping.
• Partner with legal to ensure documents comply with laws.
• Oversee regulatory reporting and confidential records.
• Collaborate with HR leaders, payroll, benefits, and operations to ensure integrated programs.
• Develop and deliver compliance training and resources.
• Roll out annual state compliance training with Learning & Development.
• Identify compliance risks, analyze trends, and recommend improvements.
• Serve as subject-matter expert and provide consultation on complex matters.
