Avalara is seeking a People Analytics Partner in the United States to drive strategic workforce insights and analytics for Talent Acquisition and People Business Partners. You will translate complex workforce questions into structured analyses, building executive-ready narratives and dashboards.

The role emphasizes end-to-end analytics, data governance, and the application of modern AI tools to accelerate research and impact.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or analytical discipline (e.g., Statistics, Data Science, Economics) or equivalent practical experience.
3 years in HR-focused People Analytics or Business Analytics.
At least 1 year analyzing Talent Acquisition data, pipelines, and hiring metrics.
Fluency in SQL and advanced Excel/Google Sheets for data extraction and modeling.
Proficiency with BI visualization platforms (Tableau/Power BI/Looker).
Experience delivering end-to-end analytical projects and executive-ready presentations.
Experience using modern AI productivity tools in analytics workflows.

Responsibilities

Partner with Talent Acquisition and People Partners to deliver workforce analytics insights.
Monitor full-funnel recruiting metrics and hiring quality measures.
Provide holistic talent insights across the employee lifecycle.
Collaborate with Centers of Excellence to align people insights.
Translate questions into structured analyses and business narratives.
Query and analyze complex People and recruiting datasets.
Deliver executive-ready data stories and dashboards.
