Job summary
Avalara, Inc. is seeking a People Analytics Partner to act as a strategic data consultant for the People & Culture organization, focusing on Talent Acquisition analytics and workforce insights.
You will translate complex questions into structured analyses and executive-ready narratives to influence hiring strategy and workforce planning. You’ll partner with PBPs and other P&C functions to deliver end-to-end analytics, design self-service dashboards, and drive data-driven decision-making across
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or analytical field or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years in an HR-focused People Analytics or Business Analytics role.
- At least 1+ years analyzing Talent Acquisition data, pipelines, and metrics.
- Fluency in SQL and advanced Excel/Sheets for data extraction and modeling.
- Proficiency with BI visualization platforms (Tableau/Power BI/Visier/Looker).
- Experience delivering end-to-end analytical projects and executive-ready presentations.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Talent Acquisition and People Leaders to identify priorities and deliver workforce analytics.
- Monitor full-funnel recruiting metrics and provide analytical support to TA and recruiters.
- Provide holistic talent insights across the employee lifecycle and link hiring trends to retention and performance.
- Collaborate with other People & Culture centers to ensure cohesive insights and alignment.
- Translate ambiguous questions into structured analyses and compelling business narratives.
