Job summary

TELUS Health in the US seeks a mathematically driven Client Service Analyst II to join our DB Large Market team, handling complex pension calculations and direct client interaction. This role blends technical data work with client service, requiring a Bachelor’s in Mathematics or Actuarial Science and 1–3+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics or Actuarial Science
• Proven ability to perform complex calculations in real-time.
• Self-starter with a positive outlook and high attention to detail.
• Comfortable with ambiguity and able to float between client projects as needed.

Responsibilities

• Respond to plan inquiries and requests from clients promptly and professionally
• Assist in calculating and processing termination, retirement, and death benefits for simple plans
• Support the consulting team in fostering strong relationships with clients
• Help coordinate information flow between clients and trustees
• Assist in reconciling plan assets and plan memberships
• Support the preparation of year-end annual pension statements
• Assist in preparing membership and asset data for actuarial valuations
• Apply and interpret basic pension benefit calculations in accordance with plan provisions and legislative requirements
• Work with pension databases to ensure data accuracy
• Attend internal training sessions to stay updated on industry trends and topics
• Participate in client meetings and presentations to add value
• Assist with special projects as required to support team goals
