Job summary

RI International is seeking a Peer Support Specialist I for a full-time, temporary assignment in Columbus, OH. The role focuses on providing peer support, recovery training, and advocacy to individuals receiving services, helping them reach recovery goals and access community resources.

The position requires a Peer Employment Training Certification and a High School Diploma, with a rotating night shift of 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM and a wage of $19.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills required.
• Ability to teach recovery information and recovery tools.
• Strong communication skills are essential.
• Must be able to pass state-required de-escalation training.

Responsibilities

• Provides peer support to engage individuals in a recovery partnership and helps identify participant goals.
• Teaches recovery and life skills using recovery tools.
• Models hope, responsibility and self-advocacy to support recovery goals.
• Coordinates with clinical teams and supports to arrange services for individuals.
