Job summary

RI International seeks a Peer Support Specialist I for a 12-week temporary assignment at the Franklin County Crisis Care Center in Columbus, Ohio. You will provide peer support, assist in recovery planning, and collaborate with clinical staff to connect individuals with resources.

The role requires a Peer Support Certification and lived experience with mental health/substance use experiences, including comfort with a 7:00PM–7:30AM rotating schedule.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of Peer Employment Training and Certification as a Peer Support Specialist.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with mental health and/or substance use services.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer support to engage individuals in recovery.
• Teach recovery and life skills using recovery tools.
• Model hope, responsibility and self-advocacy.
• Assist in developing natural supports and community living.
• Coordinate with clinical teams to arrange services.
