Job summary

RI International is seeking a Peer Support Specialist I to provide recovery training and advocacy to individuals receiving services at the Crisis Care Center in Columbus, OH. This full-time, non-exempt role runs up to a 12-week temporary assignment.

The position requires Peer Employment Training certification and a High School Diploma or equivalent, with lived experience in mental health and/or substance use services. Training, benefits, and career development opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of Peer Employment Training thus obtaining Certification as a Peer Support Specialist required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Guest Care & Advocacy: Provide peer support to engage individuals in a recovery partnership and assist in identifying participant's hopes and dreams.
• Compliance & Risk Management: Complete clinical documentation; stay updated on federal and state regulations and RI policies.
• Cross Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with the individual’s clinical team to arrange services or resources.
• Additional Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned.
