Job summary

RI International in Columbus, OH is seeking a Peer Support Specialist I for a temporary assignment at the Crisis Care Center.

You will provide recovery-focused support, teach life skills, advocate for clients, and collaborate with clinical teams to help people move toward recovery. This role requires Peer Employment Training certification and adheres to HIPAA privacy and confidentiality standards.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Peer Support Specialist required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Lived experience with mental health and/or substance use services.
• Ability to pass background checks and screenings.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer support to engage individuals in recovery partnership.
• Teach recovery and life skills using recovery tools.
• Model hope, responsibility and self-advocacy for recovery goals.
• Coordinate with clinical team to arrange services and resources.
• Complete clinical documentation as required.
