Job summary

SCAN is seeking a Junior Peer Advocate for a part-time remote role. You will support members with guidance, resources, and encouragement, drawing on your own experiences to empower recovery and wellness.

Responsibilities include outbound calls, building rapport, coaching on risk-reduction strategies, and helping members access care. A High School Diploma and strong communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• SC​AN membership required.
• Proficient with computers, including MS Office and call center software.

Responsibilities

• Make outbound calls to members based on health interventions or quality initiatives.
• Build rapport with members using personal SCAN membership experience to enhance health education.
• Coach members to implement strategies that reduce health risks.
• Encourage and assist members to overcome barriers to seeking care.
