Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of direct behavioral health service experience.
• HCPS peer specialist certification.
• Demonstrated substance use disorder/addiction activity in past 2 years.
• WRAP facilitator certification preferred; must be obtained within six months.
• Driver's license preferred; insured vehicle may be used.
• BLS CPR and First Aid preferred.
• CPI certification preferred.
• Commitment to client rights and community living.
• Strong written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with treatment team to support client self-determination in planning.
• Provide support within the Hoʻola UTelehealth program.
• Assist with recovery plans, WRAP, and referrals.
• Attend supervision with QMHP or MHP per accreditation standards.
• Develop coping skills and crisis plans with consumers.
• Build daily living and communication skills for community living.
• Facilitate peer support groups and recovery dialogues.
• Reduce stigma and support client rights.
• Meet with Case Managers to develop Individual Recovery Plans.
• Provide crisis outreach as needed.
• Mentor other Peer Specialists toward certification.
• Comply with laws and company policies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
