Job summary

Remote Co. is seeking an Inpatient Pediatric Medical Coder in the United States. The role is 100% remote, full-time, with annual salary range $59,000–$98,000.

Responsibilities include coding inpatient pediatric cases using ICD-10-CM/ICD-10-PCS and ensuring compliance with official guidelines. Requirements include a minimum of 5 years inpatient coding experience, pediatric inpatient experience, and professional credentials (RHIA/RHIT/CCS/CIC/CPC).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
• 5+ years of ICD-10-CM and ICD-10 PCS inpatient coding experience
• 1 year of pediatric in-patient coding
• Must hold one of the credentials: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CIC, or CPC

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates the ability to perform quality hospital coding on Inpatient pediatric accounts including Medicare/NonMedicare, Surgical, Medical, Cardiac, moms/babies, and trauma cases.
• Maintains knowledge of ICD-10 PCS, governmental regulations, official coding guidelines, and third-party requirements.
• Ensures all services documented are coded with appropriate ICD-10/PCS codes and requests documentation when needed.
• Achieves and maintains 95% accuracy in coding while maintaining productivity.
• Adheres to facility policies and procedures and works queues daily.
