Job summary

A healthcare staffing company is seeking a Remote Inpatient Coder to support accurate coding operations for patient records. This contract role requires RHIA, RHIT, or CCS certification and at least 3 years of coding experience. You will assign diagnostic codes using ICD-10-CM-PCS or CPT-4 standards and ensure compliance with guidelines. Strong attention to detail and proficiency with coding software are essential. Successful candidates will work independently in a remote environment and have excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in medical record coding.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology.

Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10-CM-PCS and/or CPT-4 codes to patient charts.
• Abstract data and input into 3M encoder and Epic systems.
• Maintain logs of work performed and submit reports.
• Ensure coding compliance with regulations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
