Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking an Inpatient Pediatric Medical Coder who will review clinical documentation and apply ICD-10-CM/ICD-10-PCS codes for hospital coding, billing, and reporting. The role is full-time and 100% remote, with a strong emphasis on accuracy (95%) and timely productivity across multiple pediatric accounts.

Candidates should have 5+ years of inpatient coding experience, pediatric inpatient exposure, and one of the recognized credentials (RHIA/RHIT/CCS/CIC/CPC).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• 5+ years of ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS inpatient coding experience.
• 1 year of pediatric inpatient coding.
• Must hold one of the following credentials: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CIC, or CPC.

Responsibilities

• Code inpatient pediatric charts accurately according to ICD-10-CM/ICD-10-PCS guidelines.
• Maintain 95% accuracy with high productivity.
• Work pending queues daily and review GuideAudit queues.
• Query physicians to clarify incomplete or conflicting information.
• Ensure timely chart coding and billing across facilities.
