Job summary

Intuit is seeking a Senior Payroll Tax Processor to resolve payroll tax issues across notices, corrections, amendments, and Pay & File. The role combines high-volume case work with independent ownership and a focus on accuracy and customer service.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with notices, amended returns, and cross-state tax compliance, plus strong communication and mentoring abilities within a fast-paced team.

Qualifications

• Hands-on payroll tax experience with state/federal notices and amendments.
• Ability to research and resolve complex payroll tax notices independently.
• Experience with amended payroll tax returns (941-X, W-2c).
• Strong written and verbal communication with agencies.

Responsibilities

• Execute full-cycle payroll tax case work for assigned accounts across notices and amendments.
• Research and resolve state and federal payroll tax notices; own cases from intake to closure.
• Prepare agency responses with documentation within deadlines.
• Prepare amended payroll tax returns (Form 941-X and state equivalents).
• Support payroll correction workflows and document the audit trail.
• Maintain thorough case documentation and prioritize by SLA.
• Contribute to SOPs and KB updates; collaborate with cross-functional teams.
