Cadence Solutions is seeking a Payroll Specialist to support accurate US payroll across multiple states and pay groups in a fully remote capacity. You will partner with Finance, Benefits, and People to ensure timely payroll, accurate deductions, and compliant reporting.

The role emphasizes hands-on processing, audits, and continuous documentation improvements as the organization scales. Prior multi-state experience and strong discretion are essential.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of hands-on US payroll processing experience.
• Experience with multi-state payroll and multiple pay groups.
• Knowledge of federal and state wage, hour, and payroll tax requirements.
• Ability to meet firm payroll deadlines with accuracy.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to investigate discrepancies.
• Discretion handling confidential compensation and employee data.
• Clear written and verbal communication with cross-functional partners.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Process multiple US pay groups biweekly and semimonthly cycles with accuracy.
• Validate hires, terminations, compensation, and one-time payments against records.
• Audit earnings, deductions, taxes, and net pay; resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Handle off-cycle payments, garnishments, and court-ordered deductions.
• Maintain PTO and leave accruals; coordinate leaves with People/Benefits.
• Prepare W-2s, assist with year-end activities, and ensure compliance.
• Produce payroll reports and support system configuration testing.
