McKesson is seeking a Payroll Specialist to accurately and timely process payroll for a large employee base. The role involves ensuring regulatory compliance, handling multi-state payroll, and supporting HR, Benefits, and Accounting teams.

You will manage timekeeping, deductions, year-end processes, and payroll reporting, with a focus on accuracy and confidentiality. This position offers partial remote work with 1-2 in-office days monthly.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in payroll processing for a large organization.
• Proficiency with payroll software (e.g., Workday, ADP, Ultimate Software).
• Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and regulations.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• CPP designation is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Process multi-state payroll for exempt and non-exempt employees, including bonuses, commissions, and other pay elements.
• Review and verify timekeeping records, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies and labor laws.
• Calculate and process payroll deductions, including taxes, benefits, and garnishments.
• Reconcile payroll data and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
• Prepare and submit payroll reports to management and regulatory agencies.
• Assist with year-end payroll processing, including W-2 generation and reconciliation.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee payroll records.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and time off.
• Collaborate with HR, Benefits, and Accounting departments to ensure seamless integration of payroll processes.
• Stay informed of changes in payroll tax laws and regulations.
• Participate in payroll system upgrades and testing as needed.
