Job summary

Eis group usa is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk on a full-time contract basis in New York. You will support accurate and timely payroll processing, maintain records, and assist with inquiries and admin tasks.

The ideal candidate has strong numerical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential payroll information professionally. Responsibilities include verifying hours, processing cycles, reconciling payroll data, collaborating with HR and Finance, and supporting

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• 1-3 years of payroll, accounting, or finance experience.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
• Experience with payroll software or HRIS preferred.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Process and verify employee payroll information, including hours worked, overtime, bonuses, deductions, and other adjustments.
• Review timesheets and payroll documentation for accuracy.
• Enter and maintain payroll data in payroll and HR systems.
• Assist with regular payroll cycles and deadlines.
• Calculate and verify wages, deductions, taxes, benefits, and other payroll-related adjustments.
• Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to inquiries timely.
• Assist with year-end payroll activities and tax documents.
• Coordinate with HR, Finance, and other departments to resolve payroll issues.
• Maintain confidential payroll records and documentation.
• Assist with payroll reconciliations and reporting.
