Job summary

OnTrac is seeking a Payroll Coordinator for a remote, seasonal position running from 10/25/26 to 1/29/27. You will support the payroll team during peak periods, ensuring accurate and timely pay while maintaining compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

The role requires end-to-end payroll processing experience, multi-state handling, and strong Excel skills; Ceridian DayForce knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• End-to-end payroll processing experience in multi-state environments.
• Experience handling high-volume payroll cycles and audits.
• Proficiency with payroll tax, benefits administration, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, SUMIF, COUNTIF).
• CPP or FPC certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly and weekly U.S. multi-state payroll accurately and on time.
• Audit source documents and prepare payroll data per department guidelines.
• Execute income verifications and respond professionally to inquiries.
• Input, maintain, and retrieve payroll data using Excel and payroll systems.
• Provide courteous, knowledgeable customer service to employees and stakeholders.
• Support special projects and other payroll-related duties as assigned.
