Job summary

PHEAA is seeking an Associate Payroll Analyst to audit time in the Electronic Time Reporting (ETR) module and process the bi-weekly payroll. The role requires collaboration with supervisors to resolve issues, oversight of the ETR system for employees and management, and accurate entry of payroll data including taxes and garnishments.

The position involves reconciliation, tax reporting, year-end processing, and process improvements, with a focus on customer service and compliance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with 0–2 years payroll processing experience or equivalent.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access) and data reporting tools.
• Highly accurate, organized, and able to meet tight deadlines.
• Strong analytical abilities.
• Ability to maintain confidential information.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to interface with all levels of management.

Responsibilities

• Audit time data in the Electronic Time Reporting (ETR) module and process bi-weekly payroll.
• Analyze ETR data and collaborate with supervisors/managers to resolve issues.
• Oversee ETR system for employees and management and input payroll data (taxes, deductions, garnishments, direct deposits).
• Reconcile errors, complete biweekly tax reporting, year-end processing, and compliance.
• Provide training on ETR and payroll processes as needed.
• Assist with streamlining payroll processing and retention of payroll documentation.
