Job summary

Cohypes is seeking a Payment Specialist to manage day-to-day payment operations for its e-commerce brands. You will handle refunds, disputes, and provider interactions across Stripe, PayPal, and other platforms, working closely with Operations and CS to keep payments running smoothly.

You will communicate clearly with customers, review transactions in provider dashboards, and help our multi-brand team maintain accurate reporting while adapting to a remote environment from the Philippines.

Qualifications

• 1–2+ years in customer support, payments, billing, or disputes, ideally in e-commerce or DTC
• Hands-on experience with Stripe and/or PayPal, especially refunds, disputes, and chargebacks
• Understanding of chargebacks: reason codes, evidence, deadlines is a strong plus
• Excellent written English for US/UK/EU markets
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with money
• Comfort working with spreadsheets for tracking and reporting
• Experience with helpdesk tools (Gorgias/Zendesk/Intercom) and Shopify a plus
• Organized and able to manage multiple brands and deadlines in a remote setup

Responsibilities

• Handle payment-related customer inquiries via email/helpdesk tickets
• Process refunds, partial refunds, and cancellations per brand policies
• Collaborate with CS to resolve issues before disputes or chargebacks
• Monitor chargebacks and disputes across providers (Stripe, PayPal, etc.)
• Gather evidence and submit dispute responses within deadlines
• Maintain dashboards and documentation for payment KPIs
• Assist with provider account requests and documentation
