Job summary

Raintree Systems, Inc. is hiring a Payment Reconciliation Specialist for a fully remote role within designated U.S. states.

The position focuses on timely deposit reconciliation, payment posting, and follow-up with payers to resolve discrepancies. Strong knowledge of medical billing and HIPAA compliance is essential. Applicants should have at least 3 years of medical insurance posting experience and proficiency with MS Office and billing software.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of medical insurance posting experience.
• Knowledge of payer contract & government reimbursement rules.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google applications.
• Experience with medical billing software (Raintree Systems a plus).
• Basic understanding of accounting and math skills.
• Proactive curiosity and basic AI fluency to identify efficiency gains.

Responsibilities

• Update and maintain logs for reconciliation and posting.
• Investigate, research, and reconcile deposits with supporting documentation.
• Identify and resolve posting errors and follow ups.
• Assist clients by answering inquiries and providing information.
• Reconcile daily cash deposits to the billing system and bank.
• Retrieve and post remittances from payor websites as needed.
• Participate in month-end close.
