Job summary

UW Medicine is seeking a Supervisor of Payment Posting for Professional Billing. The role directs daily department activities, coaches staff, and conducts performance reviews.

You will collaborate with the Cash Reconciliation Coordinator to resolve posting discrepancies and help optimize workflows within an academic healthcare setting. The position offers 100% FTE with a primarily remote schedule and occasional in-office days, and emphasizes leadership, training, and continuous improvement in

Qualifications

• 3 years accounting or accounts receivable experience, including posting payments/adjustments and resolving credit balances.
• 2 years supervisory/lead experience.
• Experience in an academic healthcare environment preferred.
• Union environment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct the daily activities of department staff and provide feedback on quality and quantity of work.
• Perform monthly one-on-one meetings to review performance and progress on projects.
• Prepare annual performance evaluations for staff.
• Coordinate training of new staff with UWP trainer and department coordinators.
• Work with Cash Reconciliation Coordinator to resolve payment posting discrepancies; serve as backup.
• Maintain department policies and procedures and seek workflow improvements.
• Evaluate QA audit results and collaborate with training to improve performance.
