Job summary

Currance is seeking a Payment Poster for a remote role supporting a high-volume hospital billing environment. The role focuses on electronic and manual cash posting, daily cash reconciliation, and accurate payment application using Meditech Expanse and related tools.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in revenue cycle/cash posting, strong attention to detail, and proficiency with payer portals. This position offers a remote arrangement with CST/EST time-zone consideration and collaborative team

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of work experience in revenue cycle management, cash posting or a related field.
• Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office Suite/Teams and GoToMeeting/Zoom, etc.

Responsibilities

• Identifies, researches, and ensures timely processing of payments and error corrections with documentation.
• Train new and existing team members as subject matter expert.
• Provide cross coverage between multiple projects for hospital and provider-based payment posting.
• Research and resolve payment posting issues with payers, clients, and management as needed.
• Ensure compliance with payer regulations by reconciling payments with remittances, deposits, and paper checks.
• Adhere to deadlines for posting and reconciliation tasks for timely financial reporting.
• Maintain thorough documentation of payment posting activities and discrepancies.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements in payment posting workflows.
• Provide excellent customer service to clients and management on inquiries about payment posting and balances.
• Other duties as assigned.
