Sentara Health is seeking a Payment Policy Research Analyst and Technical Writer to identify, develop, and present new cost-saving opportunities in policy-related medical costs for Sentara Health Plan. Qualifications
- Experience presenting, collaborating & consulting with a variety of stakeholders across multiple functional areas.
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects & meeting tight delivery timelines.
- Innovative thinker that works well in an ambiguous, growth environment.
- Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook including pivot tables and presentations.
Responsibilities
- Research & assessment of internal payment policies & payment solutions to identify cost savings opportunities.
- Determine strategies or solutions to achieve identified cost savings (policy development, authorization criteria, contract strategy, claims editing).
- Participate in analytical and fact-finding work to support opportunity development.
- Build relationships with internal & external stakeholders to define, align & deliver payment initiatives & policy development.
- Influence leadership to adopt new ideas, approaches or products.
