Job summary

Sentara Health is seeking a Payment Policy Research Analyst & Technical Writer in the United States. The role focuses on identifying, developing, and presenting new policy-related medical cost savings opportunities for Sentara Health Plan.

You will assess opportunities using data insights, input from subject matter experts, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to deliver savings through policy development and reimbursement improvements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's level degree preferred.
• 3 years Health plan experience or 3 years Medical coding, required.
• 3 years Health plan claim auditing or appeals, preferred.
• BS/BA/Advanced degree in health care or medical field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and present policy-related medical cost savings opportunities.
• Assess opportunities using data insights and SME input.
• Develop and deploy cost-saving payment policies and initiatives.
• Establish relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver initiatives.
