Job summary

Allara is seeking a resourceful Payer Contracting Specialist to accelerate payer contracting efforts and expand access to services nationwide. You will determine contracting requirements, submit applications, and manage escalations, collaborating with Revenue Cycle and other teams to contract end-to-end.

This mid-career role offers remote work across the U.S., with a scope to build durable internal references from each payer rule learned and opportunities to grow into more complex relationships.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in provider data management, revenue cycle, denials, payer operations, credentialing or healthcare administration.
• 2+ years contracting or credentialing experience specifically.
• Genuinely self-directed with queue management and proactive follow-up.
• Comfortable with payer policy research and interpretation.
• Strong with spreadsheets and payer portals.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, submit, and track payer applications for new partnerships and service lines.
• Determine contracting requirements and ensure accurate submission.
• Audit provider listings in payer directories and fix discrepancies.
• Reconcile rosters with payer records on a recurring schedule.
• Partner with Revenue Cycle to triage denials and identify root causes.
• Research and interpret payer policies, telehealth rules, prior authorizations, and fee schedules.
• Codify learnings into durable internal references for future use.
