Job summary

Amatus Health is seeking a Payer Contract Specialist to work remotely while supporting our payer contracts for Behavioral Health programs. You will lead discussions with leadership and stakeholders to negotiate reimbursement rates, fee schedules, and participation terms.

The role requires 3+ years in Government and Commercial Payor contracting, strong negotiation and communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Government and Commercial Payor Contracting experience, including negotiations, reimbursement, contract terms, amendments, renewals, and agreements.
• Behavioral Health contracting experience a plus.
• Understand and interpret Hospital contract language

Responsibilities

• Lead contract discussions and negotiations with leadership and key stakeholders
• Negotiate reimbursement rates, fee schedules, participation terms, and contract requirements
• Develop strong relationships with payer contacts, leadership, and the credentialing team
• Maintain consistent follow-up throughout the contracting process to drive agreements towards completion
• Track contracting activity, renewals, outstanding terms, negotiations, and follow-ups
• Maintain accurate documentation and contract records
• Support the organization's growth by identifying opportunities and closing agreements
