Job summary

UnitedHealth Group's Atrius Health division seeks a Part-time Patient Service Representative to support patient inquiries, scheduling, and enrollment tasks from Beverly, MA. The role is remote within Massachusetts with occasional onsite collaboration at the Beverly office.

Work schedule is 24 hours weekly (Mon, Tue, Fri 8:30 am–5 pm) with potential overtime. Up to 6 weeks of paid training, some onsite during training. Strong customer service, EMR familiarity, and MS Office skills are required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of customer service experience
• EMR experience or aptitude to master EMR systems
• Experience booking, rescheduling, and canceling appointments; verify patient eligibility using digital scheduling platforms
• Proficient in Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel for communication, scheduling, reporting, and collaboration
• Must be 18 years or older
• Part-time availability: 24 hours per week (Mon, Tue, Fri 8:30 am–5 pm)

Responsibilities

• Screens incoming patient inquiries to determine if handled by Patient Service Representative or redirected
• Courteous, friendly, problem solver with customer service focus
• Resolves issues in patient satisfaction, flow, and procedure compliance
• Participates in resolving operational issues and communicates with supervisor
• Advances patient issues to higher level staff when necessary
• Initiates requests for forms, letters, renewals, referrals, prior authorizations
• Reviews and updates missing/outdated information in patient records
• Maintains effective communication with patient, team, and providers
• Assists with data collection and reports such as no-show statistics
• Participates in problem-solving and continuous improvement
