Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in medical scheduling, prior authorizations, and/or patient financial counseling.
• Experience with EHR/EMR, practice management systems, and insurance portals.
• Strong computer proficiency including Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming patient calls, triage inquiries, and direct calls.
• Schedule and coordinate patient appointments with providers.
• Complete patient registration including demographics and insurance info.
• Prepare patient charts by obtaining medical records from providers.
• Coordinate with providers and insurers for referrals and documentation.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits; manage authorizations.
• Conduct financial counseling calls and explain costs to patients.
