Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) required within 9 months of hire.
• 1-3 years of work experience; 2 years in healthcare preferred.
• Patient Access experience with managed care/insurance; proficiency with MS applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Formal typing speed of at least 35 WPM; experience with multiple computer systems and dual monitors.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and pre-register patients for procedures per physician orders.
• Select accurate medical records to ensure patient safety.
• Provide clear patient instructions and verify demographics and insurance information.
• Perform Point of Service collections and financial counseling as appropriate.
• Handle other duties assigned by supervisor with reasonable accommodations.
