Sharon Hospital, part of Northwell Health, seeks a Patient Monitor Technician to provide continuous digital observation of assigned patients at Sharon Hospital. You will verbally redirect patients via a remote audio device and immediately summon on-site staff if needed.

You will support the care team by ensuring adherence to care plans, participating in hand-offs, and maintaining patient and environment safety while upholding Northwell's REACH values.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum one year experience in hospital or clinical environment providing direct patient care.
• Excellent verbal communication skills; most communication will be remotely via microphone/headset.
• Ability to communicate positively with patients and staff and de-escalate when needed.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple situations.
• Basic computer skills, i.e. Microsoft Office.

Responsabilidades

• Demonstrates understanding and proficiency in using the Video Monitoring System (VMS) Solution software.
• Maintains continuous visual observation and verbally redirects patients via a digital 2-way audio device.
• Provides care as delegated by a registered nurse according to individualized treatment plans.
• Participates in hand-offs of pertinent information at shift changes.
• Explains information to patients when needed, upholding Service Excellence.
• Sends for assistance if a patient poses a threat to themselves or others and reports safety concerns.
• Adheres to safety rules and participates in safety programs.
• Understands other digital health platforms for remote patient monitoring as needed.
• Cross-trains and covers other digital health platforms within scope of practice.
