Job summary

Sharon Hospital is seeking a Hospital Monitor Tech to provide continuous digital observation of patients using the Video Monitoring System (VMS) and to verbally redirect at-risk behaviors. The role supports nursing staff by following treatment plans and maintaining patient safety within the unit.

Responsibilities include precise hand-offs, clear communication with patients and staff via headset, and adherence to HQ policies while ensuring a safe environment and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of direct patient care in hospital/clinical setting.
• Excellent verbal communication via microphone/headset; ability to de-escalate situations.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients using the Video Monitoring System (VMS) and maintain continuous observation.
• Verbally redirect patients via the 2-way audio device and summon staff as needed.
• Provide care as delegated by a registered nurse based on individualized treatment plans.
• Participate in hand-offs with pertinent patient information at shift changes.
• Ensure patient safety and follow safety policies; report hazards to clinical staff.
