Qualifications

• Associate degree required or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years in patient account resolution (behavioral health preferred).
• Strong understanding of insurance benefit terms and patient financial responsibility.
• Excellent organizational skills and time management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and common EHR systems.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient responsibility payments including deductibles, copays, and coinsurance.
• Contact patients or authorized family to resolve outstanding balances.
• Provide clear, compassionate communication to support financial understanding.
• Assist with setting up reasonable payment plans.
• Quote private pay pricing and explain financial terms.
